A Report from the Staff Assembly Committee on Insurance and Retirement
"Every 30 Seconds someone dials an emergency number seeking assistance either for themselves or for someone else who needs medical attention. In doing so, 911 quickly comes to mind as the primary number that is quick and easy to remember. However, beyond the need for medical attention, there are situations when people might need the assistance of public safety agencies for rapid response support ... most identification cards have blank spaces on the reverse side of the card where telephone numbers can be printed to provide information for those in need of help and fast action connections."
